"Self-expression takes its many forms and the visual path is the
one I have enjoyed most. Since the beginning discoveries as a child, the act of creation has been a constant source of joy. Formal training has brought its rewards but self-exploration has produced the best results. It is my goal to take this craft much further along
by giving myself permission to play, experiment, and most of all, enjoy this precious gift of expression.

It is my sincere hope that along the way, I entertain."

Barbara Golbin was born and raised in the Chicago area. After graduating from Northern Illinois University with a minor in art and major in education, she taught elementary school in inner city Chicago for four years.

With a move to Los Angeles and a change in careers, Barbara has been working in the garment industry in all phases of production and purchasing.
Art has been her main drive outside of work. Travel has played a major role in pursuing her artistic career. Octobers-1997, 1998, 1999, and 2003 she was an artist in residence in Oia,Santorini,Greece, a place that has had an everlasting, spiritual effect on her and her work. May 2002 was her first Springtime in Santorini. May, 2000, she spent a week in Paris visiting the museums and then a week in Trimurti... a French vineyard retreat 15 minutes outside of St. Tropez where she painted along with a group of artists.

Barbara's work emphasizes an exploration in watercolor and gouache and exciting departure with hand drawn computer graphics and cards.
